Description:
Created with the goals of botanical education and appreciation, the University of Alabama Arboretum features over two miles of walking trails. The trails wind through a collection of ornamental plants, native Alabama woodlands, three greenhouses displaying cacti, succulent and tropical plants, and an extensive collection of indigenous wildflowers. Three miles east of the University of Alabama's main campus, the arboretum abuts the University of Alabama Golf Course.
